“Unusual is Creatively Usual.” Startup Dunya in conversation with Maya Shenoy, Founder & Business Head, Creative Code India.

When did you start Creative Code India?
We flagged off the company in 2011.

Who are the founding members?
There are three of us – Alwin Chethan Dsouza who is a Co-Founder & Postproduction Head, Naveen Kumar is a Co-Founder & Production Head and I am the Founder & Business Head.

Who gave you the initial launchpad?
We started off in a small room at my place. Our parents were the only and major support.

What is the service you are offering to B2B clients?

We are more than just a corporate video production house.”

Creative Code is a creative agency based out of Bengaluru. We provide a complete suite of services from concept, script writing, shooting to post-production across a wide variety of media and styles, both in digital and analog formats.

Corporate film making and infographics are our core strengths. We built on top of this to offer extended services like explainer videos, motion graphics, video editing, and brand films while maintaining the same level of quality and innovation.

Which problem are you trying to solve?
We help our clients stay ahead of the crowd and help them with video and design content that is engaging and relevant to their target audience. Combining creative outlook & imagination with modern digital technology, we develop powerful videos for a strong impact and effective promotion.

What are the key differentiators that set you apart from other companies offering similar products or services?
We at Creative Code provide cost-effective solutions with superior quality. The specialized team at Creative Code is faster and more efficient compared to other players in the market. We also guarantee delivery as per committed timelines and are able to effectively execute a concept, right from its creative brief to the final product.

What are the qualities that you see in your team which reflect the culture of Creative Code?
Our team consists of a mix of youth and skill that go hand in hand ensuring seamless and innovative execution of all our projects.

Creativity and quality are definitely our strengths.

What was your ‘wow’ moment?
There is a ‘wow’ moment in every project we execute. Before every work, we keep brainstorming until there is a ‘wow’ factor in the concept.

Who are your major customers? They seem to be across varied domains.
We have been fortunate to have worked with some of the best brands across categories like FMCG, Automobiles, Banking, Insurance, Retail, Travel & Tourism, Pharma & Real Estate.

Herbalife International, TCS, Infosys, Bharti Axa, Bescom, Ola, Vistara, etc. are some of our valued customers who have not only trusted our ability to produce top-notch work but have also given us the impetus to keep innovating. There are several other clients who have equally invested in us. All of this support has given us the momentum to keep going.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
Sometimes, the requirement is high and the budget set for it is limited. This remains a challenge we face pretty often.

Any special events that your team covered which left a lasting impression on you?
In fact, every project we work on is different and each of it leaves a lasting impression on us and teaches us something new.

What stage of funding is your company in?
We are a self-financed firm and our growth so far has been entirely organic.

What kind of support system will help launch your company to the next level?
More sales, more business, more progress.

Are you looking at pan-India services or beyond the shores as well?
Our target group spreads beyond the shores.

Where do you see Creative Code India 3 years from now?
Within a short span of time, we hope to be a leading production house not only in India but on a more global platform.

Can you sum up your journey so far?
Our journey so far has had its share of ups and downs, but what is encouraging is that there have been more ups than downs. We started off as a three-people firm and to see our company grow in size year-after-year has been an incredible experience for us.
